Grandfather Mtn

Over the past weekend we have enjoyed such beautiful weather! Some dear friends of ours invited us to visit grandfather Mtn with them, and it was worth the $1 spent. April is dollar days and we got our moneys worth! Since we had a private tour guide (Trathan's buddy Sam had been four times in two weeks) we got to see all the habitats. Trathan's favorite animals were the otters. He loved how they rolled in the mud, swam, and hide in the the cave. I believe if Trathan were an animal he would chose an otter because he has lots of the same traits. After we saw the otters, Sam took us to see the bald eagle, deer, and then to see the bears. the boys got to feed the bears and they were thrilled.

The bears came right up to the wall and waited for them to throw the food. The knew exactly what time it was!
After we saw the animals, Bill took us to a beautiful picnic area. The overlook was absolutely amazing and we took some great photos.

Daddy and Trathan found this neat cave! And Aunt Jenny came along for the ride. This was her first visit to Grandfather in years. We were thankful to have her with us. She is always such a big help with the babies!

Lainey was such a trooper! She was very content in the moby wrap most of the day and enjoyed being out and about at lunch time. Trathan looks after Lainey with out really understanding what he is doing. He makes sure she is safe with mommy or daddy before he goes on about his business. Lainey enjoyed the animals but it didn't take her long to sack out. She took a good nap in the carrier and enjoyed the ride. She is a very easy going baby, we hardly know she is there! We are very blessed with two wonderful kids. They both enjoy the outdoors and loved their visit to Grandfather Mtn. We will have to make this a yearly family tradition during dollar days.
