Easter Morning 2009 Perkinsville Baptist Church
Alleluia what a Savior, alleluia what a friend! Jesus is Risen! This Easter we had a wonderful time teaching Trathan about the cross and resurrection of Jesus. He was so responsive and wanted to immediately know more. For a few months now he has been thanking Jesus every night for dying on the cross for him, and Daddy, and Mommy and Lainey. It has been very sweet and very humbling to hear him pray. This Easter he was excited to know that the story did not end on the cross. Jesus raised back to to life on the third day and because he lives, we can face tomorrow, all fear is gone! Saturday night before Easter, Michael sat our family down for communoin. I said the prayer for the body and Trathan wanted to thank Jesus for the blood that was shed for our sin. What a celebration as a family.
We spent Easter Day with family at Cuz's for lunch. Michael and I were very excited to eat meat again, since we had given it up for the Lent season. Trathan played in the creek with Mimi, and Lainey sat outside with her new shades on. We hunted Easter Eggs and enjoyed every drop of sunshine! It was very relaxing to have a day with nothing on the agenda but to thank Jesus for what he did for us!
